Mashable x Uniqlo: Behind The Shoot

Mashable invited me to their office to style a few of their employees in Uniqlo's Heat Tech collection. Heat Tech is an innovative thin fabric that insulates heat.

It's a godsend in the middle of winter.

Uniqlo has always been on the forefront of fabric innovation. They offer everything from washable merino wool sweaters, to ultra-light down jackets (that can be packed into a small pouch) and stretch selvedge denim. Beyond the fabric though, they're a fantastic destination to pick up wardrobe staples. Chinos, merino sweaters, denim, oxfords, socks... you name it, you can nab it at Uniqlo. They're clothes are affordable and will last you for years.

They expanded the Heat Tech collection beyond undershirts to include wool pant, jeans, turtlenecks, and even winter accessories. Each guy in the article is wearing something different.

I'm a casual guy though, so when Mashable asked me to contribute my take on "office style", I had to clarify they weren't referring to suits. Cuz no thank you.

I don't work in an office on a regular basis (or ever), so I forget what dress codes look like these days...

But it turns out, a lot of offices are filled with guys like me!! lol. Men who want to look professional and put together, but be comfortable and not look like their dad at work.

We started simple, focusing on each guy's personal style while sticking to a tight color palette. You don't have to layer like crazy to look stylish, or stay warm.

I say that, but looking at the photos, I clearly styled myself with extra few layers.

I was WARM. lol. Uniqlo Heat Tech and down vests are no joke. They work.
