Let's Talk Cotton

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Welspun. The opinions and text are all mine.

Leaving no stone unturned in my #OtterHome makeover, I'm heading to the bathroom! (or more accurately, just coming from the bathroom with a new towel wrapped around my waist).

I teamed up with Welspun today to discover just how soft and absorbent their HygroCotton® towels really are!

I tend to geek out on fabric composition (I blame years of costume design and retail merchandising). It's the first thing I look at when I go shopping! I see a coat I love and go straight to the inside tag to see the fabric percentages. If it's a long list of words I have never heard of, I put it back! These days brands make up new names for synthetic fabrics all the time. Those won't last or wash well, so what's the point??

Same theory goes for your bedding and your towels. Your towels get more use and are washed more than any piece of clothing in your closet. They need to stand up to some serious wear! Welspun developed a fabric called HygroCotton. It's probably already in a lot of the home products you have purchased in the past. Just look for the little HygroCotton® logo. Hygrocotton products get softer, fluffier and more comfortable over time. The yarn is woven with a hollow core, which means it's super absorbent and it regulates temperature to keep you cool in the summer and warm in the winter.

That all sounds great, but it actually works! I have been using these navy towels for a little over a month now and they're ridiculously soft. The color hasn't faded at all either.

Seems pretty basic to talk about towels, but when you're looking for quality in all aspects of your life, they matter. Think about how much you use your towels! It's not a small matter.

P.S. They also make HygroCotton Sheets!! Definitely worth looking at when you replace your old towels for these ones.
