Traditional fashion shows are a thing of the past!

Back in the day, only a select group of editors and fashion insiders were invited to fashion shows. They would last 12-15 minutes and brands would show 60-80 looks.

But more and more brands these days are ditching that structure for a ‘press presentation’. 20 or so models stand around for a few hours and people come and go as they please to see the collection. It allows more people to see the show, costs less money (lower production value) and the brand only has to curate a small batch of looks. Presentations open the world of fashion to a slightly larger group than before.

But this season, Perry Ellis teamed up with GQ to leave both of those models in the dust and go straight to social media!

They sent 100 bloggers 100 pieces from their new Fall 2016 Collection and asked them to style the clothes in their own #VeryPerry way.

I was lucky enough to be on that list!

Perry Ellis sent me their Jacquard Knit Zip Jacket and Slim Fit Bedford Cord Pant. I paired the two pieces with a striped knit and brown accessories for a classic and clean Fall look. What do you think??

This jacket is a great transitional sweater. Thick enough to be worn as a jacket, but it's a knit material, so you can easily layer it under a thicker coat or blazer. These Bedford cords are made from a thick cotton. Strongly considering picking up the navy version.
